Luke Oppenheimer is a writer and documentary photographer from Oklahoma with a background in agroforestry and sustainable farming. After earning a degree in Latin American History from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, he spent years working across South America before shooting his first project about counter narcotics patrols on the Brazil–Paraguay border. Since studying at New York’s International Center of Photography, Oppenheimer has worked extensively in Latin America, and Central, and Southeast Asia, with long-term collaborations for Modern Huntsman magazine and assignments for the Amazon Aid Foundation and Eurasianet. His work has been exhibited by Picto Gallery in New York City and the Hullett Collection in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
